JOB OVERVIEW

Emmis Communications is looking for the right person to be the next Affiliate Manager for Network Indiana. Network Indiana is Indiana's News, Sports and Talk Radio Network with more than 68 affiliated radio stations covering all 92 Indiana counties. The ideal candidate will have a background in network radio, broadcast sales or programming with the skills to develop and maintain a growing list of radio partners. This position reports directly to the Network Indiana General Manager.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The general duties of the position involve direct communication with current Network Indiana affiliates and prospecting future radio station partners across the state. This position will be the "Face" of the Network for all affiliates throughout the state.

* This person will make regular visits to Network Indiana affiliates across the state to present new programming opportunities

* Work with the Network GM to develop new sales opportunities, media kits, and other marketing materials.

* Work with the News and Sports Program Directors to develop new programs for affiliates.

* Coordinate with the engineering department on all facets of XDS network distribution

* Oversight of Network Indiana affiliate website

* Write and distribute weekly affiliate newsletter

* Weekly in-person visits to affiliates across the state

* Weekly phone calls and emails with affiliates and prospective affiliates

* On call nights and weekends to troubleshoot affiliate issues

* Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

* Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

* Highly organized, able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

* Proven ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

* Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact proactively with staff, managers and affiliate personnel

* Previous Radio/TV sales or programming experience

* Previous network or related experience is desired but not necessary

* The ability to travel across the state as needed so a valid driver's license is required
