The IT- Technical Trainer position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.


At Community Health Network, we are committed to "Patients First". The role of the IT-Technical Trainer is to support Patients First by ensuring users of our Electronic Medical System (Epic) and other technologies are properly trained and supported.

Job Duties

* The IT-Technical Trainer is responsible for end user classroom training, supporting curriculum updates, and providing "at the elbow" support for employees.

* Must learn and gain a deep knowledge in at least one Epic application.

* Support adult learning techniques.

* Collaborate with team members on tasks and projects.

* Ordering, organizing and assembling training materials.

* Ongoing maintenance & collaborative development of training curriculum and course materials as system updates occur and training needs continually evolve

* Support other trainers as needed.

* Support continuous improvement by developing and transferring Epic application expertise to teammates.

* Local travel required.


Education or clinical background required.


Bachelor's Degree in primary, secondary, or adult education; clinical areas or related.


Must achieve credentialed trainer status within 8 weeks of hire.


* Must demonstrate a dynamic presentation style, professionalism, and trouble-shooting capabilities.

* Demonstrate autonomous integrity in the completion remote tasks

* Excellent communication, both written and oral, as well as presentation skills.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Works well in a team atmosphere.

* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, OneNote

* Ability to learn new systems quickly.

* Responsive and flexible, open to changes in training materials on short notice.

* Display a personal passion for educating others; create an engaging learning environment and enhance the end user learning experience through creativity, enthusiasm, and high energy.


Must pass the credentialing exam (85% or higher) and receive approval from the credentialing panel.
