Diversified Infrastructure Services (DIS) provides a variety of offerings in the
heavy civil, renewable energy, water/wastewater, geotechnical, and survey/GIS
markets. Our construction management experience includes the construction of
highways, airports, wind, and solar farms, biogas plant design, cross bore
detection, cleaning and televising, geotechnical, dewatering, and survey related
services.
DIS is looking for concrete workers with all level experience. Immediate need
for concrete laborers and foreman for work in Texas.
Laborers:
Ability to construct and assemble forming systems
Familiar with the use of backpack vibrators and screeds
Ability to walk on tied rebar assemblies
Familiar with anchor bolts, concrete embeds, and conduit installation in
foundations
Experience with mass concrete pours (400-500 yards) a plus
Knowledge of concrete safety procedures
A good working knowledge of concrete formwork, slab preparation and
placement, concrete mixes, and concrete finishing
Foreman:
Ability to build multiple concrete crews of 5-8 workers.
Must possess good leadership skills and adhere to company safety and HR
policies
Ability to operate laser levels, laser screeds, GPS, and other small tools
to support the work
Experience in forming and placing concrete for wind tower foundations
including spread foundations, rock-anchor foundations, and P&H foundations
Supervise a labor crew of 5-10 people each
Experience with mass concrete pours (400-500 yards) including the use of
concrete pumps and conveyors
Strong knowledge of concrete specifications, ability to read plans and
specifications, basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Ability to understand and implement quality control procedures
Be proficient in operation of support equipment including forklifts and
man-lifts
Regularly conduct site safety meetings with crews
Coordinate and track deliveries of equipment, materials, forms, etc.
Enforce company and/or client policies and procedures as well as state and
federal regulations governing the worksite and the environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word programs
Be proficient in operation of support equipment including forklifts and
man-lifts.
Minimum 5 years of concrete field experience with 2 years of crew management
preferred
Valid driver’s license required, commercial driver’s license preferred
Physical Requirements:
Laborer and foreman positions are paid on an hourly basis. Overtime rules
will apply.
Work hours will typically consist of 50-60 hours per week.
Travel will be nationwide and is required
Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis while in the
field, including hardhat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety-toed boots,
and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other protective
equipment.
Employee will be required to work in outdoor environments and may be subject
to extreme weather conditions including freezing winter weather and extreme
summer heat.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk,
stand, sit, shovel, sweep, rake, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and
ladders, and work on elevated platforms, possibly for extended periods.
Requires occasional moving/lifting of up to 50 pounds during the course of
the workday.
