AD20 - Administrative Assistant II Indianapolis, IN 46204

Pay: $22 hourly

Hours: 8am – 6pm

Start date: January 3 ( possible Temp to Hire)

SUMMARY: Responsible for providing high level administrative support to an individual or department. Candidate must have experience with Goverment Based Insurance

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Screens, handles or distributes incoming calls and complaints. Maintains files, orders supplies, coordinates meetings and compiles and distributes meeting minutes. Prepares and assembles meeting/presentation materials. Handles travel arrangements and expense reports. Utilizes various software packages to produce professional quality reports, letters, presentations and other documents. Prepares correspondence and reviews documentation for conformance with internal policies and procedures. Actively researches and verifies information pertaining to reports; prepares/tracks budgets; creates databases, analyzes moderately complex data and may support projects by assisting manager/department.

Must have Skills:

  • 4 years administrative experience.
  • government based medical insurance like Medicaid.
  • Excellent proficiency with personal computer and appropriate software.
  • Minimum typing skills of 50 wpm and good proof reading skill

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a HS diploma, 4 years administrative experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Must have ability to manage multiple priorities with various deadlines and have strong skills in planning and problem solving. Advanced proficiency with personal computer and appropriate software.

Minimum typing skills of 50 wpm and good proof reading skills. Intermediate skill level for Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Video Conferencing equipment. Validation tests will be given. • Able to learn software programs that may be specific to Anthem systems. • Previous experience working within the office-based clinical environment, is preferred. • Knowledge of Medicaid products within a regulatory environment desired. • Team Player mentality. This role will work with a team of administrative assistants coordinating the support of the entire health plan. • Experience with supporting multiple Professional level positions is highly desired.
