QC Lab Technician

Sun Chemical Independence, KY

•Monitor and communicate product formula changes and approvals to Production to maintain the steady flow of quality product.
•Identify, assist with and resolve issues related to quality.
•Facilitate the vertical and lateral flow of information to maintain an efficient and effective Quality Department.
•Implementation of general and specialized laboratory duties.
•Check and adjust color formulations in production.
•Check the quality of the metallic powder coatings before, during and after production.
•Maintenance of quality samples and standards.
•Send samples to customers for their approval.
•Check incoming base material samples before they are released to production.
•Input into internal and external projects as requested or required by procedures or management.
•Ongoing improvements to work processes and organization in the laboratory process.
•Maintain all QC Laboratory equipment in a clean and functional state.
•Maintain panel inventory.

•Experience in Quality Control of Lab a plus; Computer application skills, basic technical knowledge, and color perception knowledge is preferred. Proficiency in communication and math required. Be available to work overtime and any shift.

•Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. 2-4 year college degree or some college coursework with work experience a plus.
