Bonneville County is now accepting applications for the following position:

Position: Temporary Court Records Clerk - Scanner

Starting Salary: Pay Grade 5 - salary is $10.37 per hour

Work Hours: 19 hours a week

GENERAL PURPOSE

Performs routine entry level clerical duties to maintain various court records systems for the district and magistrate courts.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Works under the close supervision of Office Supervisor or Court Operations Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

None.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Verifies and scans court records in appropriate systems according to case type and other established criteria. Pulls files for various court calendars as directed, prepares and files record checkout documents according to established procedures.

Performs routine maintenance on court filing systems by identifying and locating missing or misfiled records. May assist with clean out and archiving of records as directed; enters court documents into "register of actions" as needed to monitor filing activity.

Provides copies of court documents as requested by approved agencies, i.e., Health & Welfare, attorneys, etc.

May assist Court Clerks with various responsibilities and perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Educations and Experience:

A. Graduation from a high school;

AND

B. One (1) years of post-high school training or experience general office practice;

OR

C. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures related to numeric and alphabetical filing systems; basic mathematics; interpersonal communication skills; basic operations of personal computer or mainframe terminals and related software applications.

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; develop effective working relationships with elected officials, professionals, the public, and fellow employees; operate a variety of types of standard office equipment; understand and follow simple verbal and written instructions; maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues.

* Special Qualifications:

Must be bondable.

Must be able to type 50 words per minute.

4. Work Environment:

Incumbent of the position performs in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls. Tasks require variety of physical activities, such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing and seeing and involving muscular strain by lifting and carrying file boxes weighing up to 35 pounds. Rapid work speed required to perform keyboard operations. Common eye, hand, finger, leg and foot dexterity exist. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discriminating thinking; guided and creative problem solving.
