Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist III

Qualis Corporation is seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist III to support operations at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Essential Functions:

* Performs a variety of logistic acquisition and sustainment tasks designed to ensure operational readiness and availability of systems.

* Supports all aspects of integrated product support elements (IPSE) for all systems.

* Applies practical knowledge of all twelve IPSE and own initiative to perform duties.

* Support the IPSE planning and implementation to include maintenance plan, supply support, support and test equipment, transportation and handling, technical data, facilities, personnel and training, logistic resource funds, supply support plans, provisioning plan, admin, depot maintenance support plan, material fielding plan and management information. Responsible for maintenance planning, manpower and personnel, supply support, support equipment, technical data, training and training support, computer resources support, facilities, and packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHST).

* Track and manage systems and repair parts supporting CONUS/OCONUS missions.

* When required update deployment readiness trackers and reports with the number of assets on mission.

* Generate, coordinate and track transportation documents to support transportation requirements.

* Coordinates with other organizations for the planning, implementing, and support of systems.

* Prepares, coordinates, updates, and manages logistics documents to include but not limited to the Life Cycle Logistics Plan, Product Support Strategy, Product Support Plan, Level of Repair Analysis, Core Depot Assessment, and Business Case Analysis.

* Participates on or chairs Integrated Product Teams.

* Assures Army requirements and documents for authorization and fielding (BOIP feeder data, ASIOE assignment, Total Package Fielding planning, Provisioning, MAC, etc.) are met.

* Represents program in meetings and discussions with the development contractor or agency, other organizations/activities, and other Services.

* Develops and briefs plans and status of integrated logistics support for the assigned weapon system to management and various external organizations (platform owners, readiness element, higher headquarters, etc.).

* Conduct inventories to ensure 100% accountability of assets and participate in Care of Supplies in Storage activities.

* Develops and provides input data to designers concerning proposed maintainability and reliability objectives for new materiel being developed.

* Maintains continuous liaison with research, engineering, production, and field personnel to influence design to insure optimum support after the systems are fielded.

* Directs the development of the system support package for testing. Participates in the overall test program and reviews results of developmental and operational tests.

* Participates in the preparation of a maintainability plan and conduct of maintainability demonstration.

* Reviews and furnishes information to stakeholders (upon approval) concerning the support of equipment procured and utilized by the program offices.

* Provides logistics evaluation of supportability and suitability of the equipment for its intended use.

* Reviews prototype models, drawings, and engineering designs, and makes recommendations concerning ease of maintenance of materiel.

* Coordinates the development and selection of logistics support alternatives for proposed system/component design.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Must have a Bachelor's degree in applicable field.

* Must have a minimum of six (6) years of recent full time logistics experience in industry or Government supporting manufacturing, repair, upgrade and refurbishment of equipment.

* Must possess experience in preparing/editing DOD technical documents as well as availability and maintainability (RAM) analysis of complex mechanical and electronics systems/equipment.

* Additional experience with logistics integration requirements as applied to weapon systems is preferred.

* Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.

* Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
