Position: Safety Compliance Program Manager

Compensation: $120k-$160k

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Program Manager with extensive industrial, or power generation experience to oversee and manage our safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety compliance programs and policies tailored to the specific needs of our industrial operations.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, risks, and compliance gaps. Take proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety protocols into day-to-day operations, providing guidance and training to employees on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant with local, state, and federal safety requirements.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, or near-misses, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage and maintain documentation related to safety protocols, compliance reports, incident investigations, and training records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, participating in inspections, addressing compliance inquiries, and ensuring timely submissions of required reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in safety compliance management within an industrial setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety programs, fostering a culture of safety, and achieving compliance goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and train employees at all levels, and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing safety management systems and software for documentation and reporting purposes.
