Textron Systems Unmanned Systems is looking for electrical engineering co-ops for our Ground Control Technology and Avionics Design engineering teams. These teams design and integrate military hardware on our ground, sea, and air platforms such as the Universal Ground Control Station (UGCS), the Common Unmanned Surface Vessel, (CUSV), the Shadow UAV, and the Aerosonde UAV. Textron Systems' Electrical Engineering Co-op program provides the student an opportunity to develop a professional engineering skill set while working in a fast-paced environment with cutting edge technology.

Our co-ops are integral members of the design team, and work under the supervision of lead electrical engineers. Daily responsibilities include research and trade studies, developing electrical design concepts, performance calculations and simulation, and hands-on support of testing and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate basic understanding of the following:

* Analog and digital circuits

* Common fabrication and assembly processes

* DC and AC power (Single and 3 phase) systems and power load calculations

* Computer architectures

* Electrical subassemblies and cable design

* PCB design and embedded coding

* Debugging of electrical assemblies

* Test and engineering analysis reports

* ISR payloads including EO/IR systems and EW/SIGINT

* Operation of multimeters and oscilloscopes

* Engineering lab safety


Undergraduate currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Position Requirements:

Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2

Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Work 40 hrs/week.
