Position Title: Sr. Tax Accountant


Ensure timeliness and accuracy of indirect tax returns for State and Local jurisdictions within the domestic United States through preparation of returns, payment requests, and supporting analytic reports and reconciliations. Obtain and maintain state and local indirect tax account registrations and ensure point-of-sale and ERP systems are programmed to calculate tax at the appropriate rates.

This role is responsible for:

* Accumulate, analyze and process financial accounting data in order to prepare sales and use tax returns

* Timely prepare and complete monthly submission of sales and use tax returns

* Review and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate coding of all sales and use tax returns

* Gather data and prepare documentation for sales and use tax audits

* Assist with research and review of sales and use tax audit schedules

* Administering tax exemption certificate management program

* Assist other U.S. Indirect Tax functions, as needed

* Assist with other special projects as needed

Qualifications – Skills Requirements- Experience Level:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Master's degree a plus

* Minimum 3 years' experience in US sales and use tax compliance

* Experience with Vertex, SAP

* CMI in sales and use tax preferred

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

* Excellent computer skills including spreadsheets and information systems

* Excellent written and communication skills at the business and technical level

* Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization

* Ability to multi-task with little supervision

* Ability to work in a complex deadline oriented environment
