License/Certification/Education: Normally a B.A./B.S. Degree (preferably life sciences-Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, Physiology) w/5-7 years of experience is preferred. Normally requires a Valid Driver's License along with a clean driving record.

Specialty Development Executive-- Houston, TX

Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp), a leading clinical reference testing laboratory is seeking a Specialty Development Executive for their Houston core testing area. The hours for this position are, 8:00am -- 6:00pm, Monday -- Friday, however this is an exempt position and so the person must be available at various hours as needed. The Specialty Development Executive (SDE) will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and product line growth within the Houston and surrounding area. Candidate must be self-motivated, assertive and be able to deliver presentations to doctors, clinical and hospital staff in competitive bid situations. The candidate will be responsible for sales of Employer Drug Testing, Wellness/Clinical, Biological Monitoring, and lab based Probation/Parole/Corrections Services.

The functions of the Supervisor position will include, but will not be limited to the following:

* Selling laboratory testing services to professionals in a variety of medical fields

* Providing ongoing service and problem-solving to your customer base

* Managing growth and retention in your specific local territory or region

* Performing administrative tasks in our local LabCorp offices

* Staying abreast of our new products, clinical guidelines, pharmacotherapies and genomic tests

* Be able to educate, instruct, and up sell all assigned and newly generated accounts and enable the company to maximize and maintain the volume of business these accounts may produce

* The position requires approximately 60% travel.
