Service Manager Administrator

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Service Manager Administrator for our Global Information Technology organization at our Corporate Headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas.

As a Service Manager Administrator, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Global Service Data Manager in the administration, support and management for the HP Service Manager solution.

What will be expected from you?

* Oversee and coordinate any enhancement or upgrade of HP Service Manager including any effort towards enhancement / upgrade of systems that has dependency to or from HP Service Manager.

* Lead and organize the effort toward assessing maintenance activities, schedule and implementation.

* Engage and interface with service providers and internal teams as required .

* Identify improvements and develop / drive action plan towards capacity, reliability, stability, performance and recovery of the systems. Implement configuration changes.

* Drive / Participate in incident, root cause analysis and service resolution that impacts / relates to HP Service Manager.

* Engage with administrators for HP uCMDB (including uDiscovery) and HP Asset Manager to ensure cross system interfaces and data flow are working as designed and optimally. Drive resolution of such issues when it occurs. Oversee any issues with HP Connect-IT & HP Operations Orchestration (OO) and request that may require functionality of HP Connect-IT & HP OO

* Builds and maintains relationships with all IT team to ensure that IT-delivered services and productivity goals are understood and met (or exceeded).

* Leverages Huntsman's social networking capabilities to capture support activities and increase business communication. Promotes self-service tools and use knowledge repository as mechanisms to improve documentation, service delivery and reduce costs.

* Leverages service desk best practices and process frameworks, such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to drive continual process improvement. Keep abreast of trends in service desk management, operations, technologies, sourcing, policies, procedures and other external changes that could have an impact on IT services and functions

* Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed.

* Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.

* Assists other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

* Participates in Environmental, Health, Safety and training initiatives as set forth by the company.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

* Demonstrated success in the above key accountabilities and responsibilities

* A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Technology Management 6y+ equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Technology Management

* Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a process oriented environment with supporting IT Service Management / Service Desk solutions; preferably in HP Service Manager 7 or higher

* Having training or certifications relating to HP suite of Service Management tools will be desirable

* A background and familiarity in service management functions such as incident management, configuration management and asset management would be an advantage

* Experience with supporting system relating to CMDB / Asset Manager/Operations Orchestration/Connect IT as well as technologies such as Active Directory and database systems will be highly desirable

* Experience in facilitating and coordinating a broad spectrum of IT teams in support of system administration activities

* Understands and appreciate business and financial awareness of the impact of system downtime, service level and performance metrics benchmarks

* Good skills in communicating and documentation

* Strong analytical skills

* Processes quality driven and assurance mindset

* Promotes and supports standardization and continuous improvement

* Experience in working in a multinational environment

* Experience working within an ITIL framework, ITIL V2 or V3 Foundation certification would be a plus

* Industry Information Technology or Systems certifications would be considered as a plus
