Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Administrator with 5 to 10 years of experience to support our Subsea & Export Systems group in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have experience in the Oil and Gas Petrochemical industry.

The successful candidate will be seconded to our client's office and responsibilities will include:


  • Providing high quality administrative support to project teams and managers as required, including:
  • Shopping Cart creation support and Shopping Cart expediting facilitator
  • Creation of Cost, Time Resources (CTR) reports and support
  • Work Initiation Forms (drive process to completion, process management and log maintenance)
  • Act as Power BI Facilitator for Subsea group (create & maintain Subsea PowerBI dashboards (i.e. Project Dashboards, GNG, etc)
  • Document System Facilitator
  • SharePoint and Quality Facilitator
  • Subsea work breakdown code generation
  • Subsea PMCS Superuser
  • Create PMCS actions for unique risk mitigations from output of Subsea risk assessments
  • Create “Go / No Go“ recurring risk actions
  • Act as a Management of change expeditor
  • Subsea Team Meetings Facilitator and scribe for regularly scheduled meetings (including All Hands meetings, weekly Subsea team meetings, Operations Interface meetings)
  • Other miscellaneous Improvement Projects (i.e. Excel, etc) as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but candidates with an Associate Degree or High School Diploma and relevant work experience will be considered
  • 5 years professional experience in Administrative Support; ideally in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
  • Must possess a good understanding of Document Control Systems and practices
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English required, along with experience handling confidential information
  • Must be Intermediate to Advanced level in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in MS Power BI an asset
  • Demonstrated time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude; with the ability to interface with a wide variety of people
