Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Sales Representative - Aggregates to support the Houston Area and the position will be based in Katy, TX.

Reporting to the Sales Manager this position will be responsible for the marketing, sales and promotion of aggregate products. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to our customers, maintain and grow our customer base and gather market intelligence.

What you'll get to do:

* Provide technical knowledge in the application of aggregate products

* Assist in the formulation, development and coordination of the delivery of highly valued account plans for existing/potential new customers that achieve mutual business objectives

* Communicate with internal and external customers regarding projects, annual opportunities and job specific requirements

* Effectively develop and leverage existing customer relationships, as well as achieve new business goals of sales growth within each segment

* Resolve customer issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction

* Prepare quotations per customers' requirements

* Compile market intelligence and identify potential projects

* Represent the company within the business community and industry associations

* Promote aggregate and aggregate-based products

* Participate in the development of marketing plans, sales targets, and pricing strategies

Who we are looking for:

* Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.

* Minimum 5 - 7 years' experience selling construction aggregates (gravel, limestone, fine sand and concrete sand) or related products.

* Knowledge of aggregate, asphalt or concrete products/materials and quality control testing would be an asset.

* Technical experience in aggregates, concrete or other related construction industry experience would be an asset.

* Proven track record that shows sales growth.

* Experience in heavy building materials, concrete, asphalt, construction, or building materials distribution channels.

* Demonstrable high communication skills (verbal and written).

* Demonstrable experience working with financial statements.

* Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

* Experience with a CRM (such as Microsoft Dynamics) a plus.
