Sales Manager EEC

RHI Magnesita is seeking an experienced Sales Manager in EEC to expand RHI Magnesita's market reach in the specialty area of refractory products and technology. Our ideal candidate has experience selling products or services in the energy, environmental, or petrochemical industries. This position manages the commercial relationships in the energy, environmental and chemical industries. This position will develop new customer relationships for our refractory product sales as well as installation and maintenance programs for our customers. .

Responsibilities and Duties

The following is a summary of the main responsibilities of Sales Manager position.

Client relationships

* Cultivate new customer relationships by targeting customers with high refractory product demand. This includes conducting market analysis on current demand, spend, and competitor data.

* Respond to existing customer needs and opportunities to further our relationship with our strong customer base.

Technical consulting

* Listen to customer concerns and provide solutions by placing the right RHI Magnesita products and technology in our customer's facilities.

* Conduct customer training sessions on-site at our customers, trade fairs, or symposia.

Inventory management

* Review and plan for customer product and equipment demand. This planning is done through customer interaction and internal communications with RHI Magnesita customer service and service engineers.

Commercial responsibilities

* Determination of contract parameters specific to each customer relationship and product demand. Careful understanding of RHI Magnesita contract terms and conditions and clear communication to customers about those details.

* Proposal preparation including thorough response to customer demands, mindfulness to competitive pricing strategies, and alignment with RHI Magnesita commercial management standards.

* Financial planning related to rolling forecasts, market pricing conditions, annual business plans, stock management etc.

Additional duties may be assigned.

Required education and experience

* 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales environment required

* Engineering and Refractory Ceramic Materials background required

* Technical degree required

* Engineering degree or equivalent preferred

* SAP proficiency preferred

Additional skills

* Willingness to travel in the USA as customer demands require which could be as much as 50% of work time. International travel may be needed.

* Hands on, forward thinking, and improvement/results driven

* Works effectively and collaboratively, including clear written and verbal communications

* High proficiency with MS Office Suite of products, specifically MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

* High proficiency with use of an ERP, MRP, or similar system for data input, output, report creation and data analysis

* Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., when necessary
