PLC Maintenance Technician

* Follow all safety rules

* Work with others; lead the development of preventative maintenance plans for all plant equipment.

* Assist in training of personnel involved with performing maintenance of all plant equipment.

* Gain full competency of maintenance of automated pipe manufacturing equipment including Pipe Pro, V-Rock and moving floor, magazines and stackers

* Establish and maintain a well-organized shop area.

* Establish parts inventory system that will assure necessary parts are on hand to keep plant operational.

* Must be willing to do other duties as assigned.

* Handle and coordinate 25 plus contactor electrical boxes

* Work with more than 10 panels which control the automation equipment

* Setup min/max order system for parts


* Degree in Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience

* 5yrs support and troubleshooting experience with PLC equipment (GE, Siemens, Telemecanique)

* 2yrs experience programming PLC Ladder logic within the last 5yrs

* Can read and draw machine/electrical schematics

* 3yrs experience with Variable Frequency Drives

* 3yrs experience with automated machines and understanding of all related devices including but not limited to prox, photo eye's and transducers

* Working knowledge of Windows XP, Word, Excel and Outlook

* Have math aptitude for measurements, calibrations and comprehension of a variety of testing and diagnostic equipment

* Be available for emergency service during off hours

* Bilingual English/Spanish would be helpful but not required

* Have good mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic aptitude

* Ability to lift up to 50lbs

* Must be able to work at heights.

* Must be able to work in an Industrial Environment (noise, dust, outside weather conditions etc.).
