Olin Corporation has an opportunity for a Business Finance Manager to support Olin's Global Chemicals Manufacturing organization including Capital Budgeting, Strategic Capital Planning, and Controllership of Capital Projects. The position will be located in Houston TX and will work closely with the global Manufacturing Leadership team, Global Project Director, Manufacturing Technology Leaders, Hydrocarbons and Energy leadership, as well as Division and Corporate financial leadership. The position will report to the Director of Financial Planning and analysis.

The ideal candidate will excel at critical thinking, communications, and teamwork across geographically and functionally diverse teams. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable in an unstructured fast paced environment and will proactively identify opportunities to provide value adding financial and business analysis and process improvements.

The incumbent's work product will be critical for operational and strategic decisions as well as recurring information reporting and analysis. The incumbent's work product will be included in presentations and analysis presented to Global Manufacturing Leadership, Corporate Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors.

Essential Job Functions:

* Financial leadership for Capital Budgeting and Strategic Capital Planning

* Carry out the project controllership function for all major manufacturing capital projects

* Maintenance Expense Budgeting and Strategic Planning to assure achievement of long-term targets established by the Board of Directors

* Identify, develop, and implement best practices for analyzing and reporting Manufacturing results, Capital Spending, Expense Budgets, Strategic Plans, and Financial estimates

* Manage analysis and reporting for manufacturing costs, and variances vs. budgets and estimates

* Financial and business analysis in support of tactical and strategic decision making

* Manage and maintain tools and processes to measure and control manufacturing costs

* Thorough understanding of existing contracts to allow proactive improvements; monitor supplier compliance with financial contract terms

* Financial analysis in support of new contract negotiations

* General finance support for projects and initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management required; Master's Degree or other advanced degree is desirable

* Minimum of ten years related finance or accounting experience

* Finance support for major manufacturing operations; experience with chemical manufacturing is preferred

* Capital Project Accounting, Reporting, and Performance Monitoring

* Strong knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting principles

* Demonstrated competence in financial analysis and analytical methods and tools

* Excellent communications and teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate, support, and lead in the appropriate proportions at the appropriate time

* Ability to legally work in the United States on a permanent basis

* Robust critical thinking, initiative, analytical skills, proactive approach, and creativity

* CPA, CMA, or other certification is a plus

* Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education
