Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, preventive maintenance, and repair of machinery and plant services. Supervises workers engaged in layout and machine operations to fabricate structures, machine parts or assemble components.


* Coordinate all shut downs and repairs with supervisors and operators. Uses proper safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.

* Perform daily preventive maintenance functions as scheduled.

* Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.

* Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.

* Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

* Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.

* Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.

* Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.

* Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

* Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

* Maintain time and production records.

* Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

* Perform activities of workers supervised.

Comply with all applicable HSE requirements as specified in Quality Tubing's HSE Operational Requirement for Roles and Responsibilities


* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Must be able to install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components.

* Must be able to cut, fit and weld new fabrications and repairs to existing equipment.

* Must be able to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

* Must be able to repair and maintain mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems.
