ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary:

Executive Steward is responsible for managing and directing dishwasher operations to ensure designated areas have necessary supplies and equipment in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all dishwashing operations to include, but not limited to, inventory management, maintenance of sanitation and cleanliness standards, systems management, health inspections, safety initiatives, department management, meeting participation, implementation of policies and procedures and cost controls
  • Lead staff in daily coordination and distribution of small wares, glassware, and silverware
  • Oversee equipment storage and distribution according to established standards
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards and prepare for health inspections
  • Maintains weekly staff schedules, ensuring fair distribution of hours to all staff, using the most cost-effective staffing and adhering to staffing budget
  • Monitors and ensures that all staff members are punctual and in correct attire
  • Addresses staff discipline as required, using OTG company standards and procedures; reports any discipline issues to the Terminal Directors
  • Ensures all work is carried out in compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Ensures all staff members are engaged in their work and problems are dealt with in a humane, consistent, and professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Food & Beverage

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in restaurants
  • 2 to 3 years supervisory experience in similar industry
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to service of customers, crew, co-workers and management
  • Demonstrated dependability and leadership; ability to lead by example
  • High integrity, passion, and commitment to OTG values
  • Ability to be walk 90% of shift
  • Ability to work flexible hours, days, shifts, holidays; business needs vary with weather/traffic
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Ability to clear background check for OTG and Airport Badge
  • Commitment to service of customers, crew, co-workers and management
  • High level of integrity, work ethic, passion, and commitment to OTG values
  • Ability to clear background check for OTG and Airport badge
