Director, Onsite Clinic Operations- Occupational Medicine

Location: Houston, TX (Med Center/Galleria Area)

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Onsite Clinic Operations is responsible for the oversight and management of all patient care and administrative activities in the assigned clinic in support of clinic operations working closely with the Medical Director of Occupational Medicine. Responsibilities include contract management, client relationship, strategic planning, development and monitoring of budgets, as well as personnel management. Works closely with physician leadership to improve operational processes and quality of patient care. The Director of Onsite Clinic Operations role will be assigned to and specifically responsible for operations of an employer(s) onsite clinic(s).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, nursing, healthcare administration or related field

Master's degree in business, nursing, healthcare administration or related field.

Experience

5 years of progressive management in an ambulatory care setting, including strategic planning, development and monitoring of budgets, and personnel management. 3 years management in an occupational health clinic or onsite health clinic for an employer. Experience in management of an employer's OSHA, NIOSH and other required surveillance programs.

Experience at an employer onsite clinic in the chemicals, oil & gas or energy industry

Licenses

Valid Driver's License.

Active RN license in the state of practice. Certified Occupational Health Nurse or hours towards completion of Certification, and/or Certified Health & Safety Manager. Certified Drug Screen Collection. Certified MRO Assistant.

Special Skills

Knowledge of regulatory standards and participation in OSHA, NIOSH, TDH, or CLIA surveys. Knowledgeable of the principles of quality management and experienced in leading Performance Improvement teams.

Other

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient computer skills. Willing to travel within the United States. Willing to be on-call after-hours and weekends as needed.
