Reporting to the Manager Business Development the Business Development Representative will be responsible for the following:


* Manage existing assets to increase utilization and work with BD team to generate new opportunities around asset base.

* Provide economic and analytical support to BD team as they seek increase Gibson's asset base, develop infrastructure opportunities across the U.S., either through organic growth or acquisitions

* Work with marketing and trucking operations to offer customers suite of services

* Update weekly on the status of prospecting efforts

* Drive quarterly Performance Reviews of Projects

* Work with other Gibson Business Units to execute growth strategy


* Self Starter - motivated to seek out new opportunities and solve problems without being directed to do so.

* Prospecting - expands relationships to generate new account leads.

* Sales cycle knowledge - understands the process for closing sales, the number of calls needed, the length of time from first contact to close, and the basic steps in the sales process.

* Problem solving - applies knowledge, Gibson capability, and sales ability to create solutions that enable the close of new business.

* Technical – in-depth understanding of financial models and economic value drivers.

* Sales presentation - presents Gibson's capabilities effectively and appropriately.


* College degree in business, finance or engineering required.

* 5-7 years of experience developing assets, growing revenue and profitability in the oil and gas industry (Crude Oil or NGLs) or the transportation industry.

* Experience creating complex financial models to evaluate opportunities and economic outcomes

* Experience in adding new customers and increasing the penetration of existing customers
