Job Description

Job Purpose:

Operate the reservations department as a primary profit center by communicating and maintaining accurate availability of room inventory. Devise online chat and reservations sales strategies which will maximize the potential for reservation conversion of all guest interaction.

Job Responsibilities:


Proactively use online chat to secure reservations from Aqua-Aston website visitors.


Responds to all reservation email inquiries generated from Aqua-Aston website within 24 hours.


Accurately communicates stop sold dates and maintains all stop sell calendars, distribution lists, and stop sell tables.


Disseminate sales and marketing program worksheets to properties as needed.


Maintains complete knowledge of reservations procedures, policies, property information, rate exhibits and contracts.


Enters reservations as requested by sales and marketing team.


Enters and sends confirmations for wholesale manifests promptly and accurately.


Assists management team with compiling and analyzing call center data and reports.


Provide call center support by answering reservations calls as needed to secure reservations.


Responsible for keeping necessary supplies on hand. Attend necessary meetings.


Perform other related duties as requested by Management.

Job Qualifications:


High school diploma or equivalent.


Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with Management.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work well under deadline pressure/and or travel.

Ability to successfully complete the Signature Training reservations program and pass shop calls at an acceptable level.

Experience with working with hotel partners and general managers a plus.

Knowledge of Voice Agent, AVAYA, RoomMaster and Opera a plus.

Previous hotel or hospitality reservations a plus.

Adaptable experience with travel industry reservation systems and hotel property management systems essential, standard Microsoft Office tools essential, knowledge of database system development preferred.
