Detailing Supervisor

This position will report to the Vice President, Engineering-IMP and will be responsible for the successful completion of CENTRIA Lump Sum Projects by managing a team of Detailers and working in close coordination with the Project Management, Engineering, and Design Team members assigned to the same region.


* Provide supervisory guidance for a team of Detailers with varying levels of experience, including but not limited to: Assigning job specific tasks; Setting overtime requirements; Time card approval; Time off approval; Annual Performance Reviews.

* As a working Supervisor, both oversight and execution of the following tasks is required:

* Interpret Structural and Architectural contract documents correctly and accurately.•Develop detailed drawings utilizing both commercially available and proprietary software platforms to be used by manufacturing facilities to produce panels and associated accessories.

* Develop accurate and easy to follow permit, approval and/or construction drawings to assure the installed material meets the required performance specifications.

* Develop Bill of Materials utilizing company proprietary software to produce a shipping list of parts and components for plant and customer use.

* Communicate needs and challenges identified to all team members to assure quick disposition of issues.

* Interact with internal and external customers to develop and maintain relationships by providing drafting knowledge expertise and quickly resolving field issues.

* Maintain a continued awareness of project schedule and budget.

* Meet or exceed department accuracy goals.

* Manage multiple ongoing projects from the design phase through the manufacturing phase(s) and through erection.

* Record and maintain necessary records in the company database for tracking project status.

* Identify discrepancies between contract documents and effectively seek clarification.

* Work with other Detailing Supervisors to establish and leverage best practices across all CENTRIA Lump Sum work.

* Other tasks as assigned by the Vice President, Engineering-IMP.


* Minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required

* 5 years' experience detailing of exterior construction wall and roof products

* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

* Self-motivated, creative and adaptable

* Leadership and strong interpersonal skills

* Ability to interact at all levels of the Company

* Strong sense of urgency

* Support and encourage Company Goals

* Demonstrate good business judgment
