Depot Manager-Sales


Responsible for the day to day functionality of the store (which includes operational functions such as inventory management, verification of daily deposits and the perpetual management of certain daily reports). Also acts as a Sales Representative for the company (as well as an agent when away from the store) , engaging in the quoting, selling and coordinating of material sales to customers. This person will be responsible for enacting and initiating cross training of personnel.

* Opening/Closing and securing the store

* Verification and Transport of Daily Deposits to guarantee fraud prevention

* Manage the maintenance and overall care of the building to provide a safe working environment

* Maintain and enforce a high standard of customer service while leading by example

* Communicate the company culture and promote correct behavior

* Develop Sale Plan and Implement Sales Initiatives to insure revenue growth

* Quote, sell and coordinate projects ranging from small component packs to pre-engineered Metal Buildings

* Ensuring Employee Development

* Manage Inventory levels and audits

* Organizing and managing work schedules and labor hours, which at a minimum requires staffing for a Monday through Friday, 8-5 opening and 8-12 noon on Saturdays.

* Maintain price competitiveness of store while protecting margins and improving profitability

* Develop and track results of marketing strategies

* Manage and approve vendor expenses both internal and external


* Business degree is desirable, but not required

* Previous hands on experience is desirable

* Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel

* Basic knowledge of computer usage such as email, internet and operating systems such as windows is a plus

* Proficiency with basic accounting principles
