The Flavors Group is comprised of the following business units:

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Group President, Flavors reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sensient Technologies, Mr. Paul Manning.

The position has a General Manager for each of the above referenced business units and the group staff, consisting of a Chief Financial Officer, Human Resources Director, Operations & Engineering Director, Regulatory Director, and Marketing Director.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Group President, Flavors will provide leadership and have full P&L responsibility for a $800M organization with facilities in North America, Europe, and Latin America. He/she will be accountable for the organization's overall growth, competitive advantage, and long-term position as a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of flavors.

Additional responsibilities of the Group President will also include the following:

* Provide leadership for all commercial activity and operations for the Flavors Business unit.

* Manage the Group's P&L to ensure realization of profit and expense targets.

* Develop and execute the unit's overall growth strategy in alignment with that of the Sensient Technologies organization as a whole.

* Manage, direct, and monitor the daily operating activities of the company with a view to maximizing the value and profitability of the organization; delve deeply into operational issues and develop creative solutions.

* Drive and continually enhance the organization's overall strategy for differentiation through quality and service while closely managing costs.

* Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and establishes the key performance indicators and financial metrics that will be used to manage the business.

* Increase market share for flavors.

* Drive down costs.

* Limit organization's exposure to food safety issues.

* Build, lead, and inspire a world-class organization.

* Establish, maintain, and promote an effective system of communications throughout the organization.

* Ensure that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with company policies.

* Develop and mentor a strong team.

* Set performance standards and goals for each member of the team, fostering anatmosphere of ownership and personal excellence.

* Clearly define expectations and hold the team accountable for results.

* Consistently strive to achieve the company's financial and operating goals and objectives.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

In addition to a well-rounded background in operations, technology, and financial acumen, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

* A seasoned, savvy senior executive with exceptional leadership skills and an established record of success in increasingly responsible positions as a strategic leader and market builder.

* Minimum of 15 to 20 years of business experience in P&L leadership positions of increasing levels of responsibility within a high value add, non-commodity manufacturing organization.

* Proven ability to both retain and grow a company's position within the market place.

* Demonstrated success meeting financial objectives, increasing profitability, and directing and motivating teams.

* Strong track record of profit center management.

* Proven managerial leadership ability and keen business judgment gained in a demanding, competitive public company environment.

* Deep understanding of their products and technology.

* Expertise in differentiating offerings through quality and service.

* Experience leading an organization that is global in scope.

* Ability to create a sense of urgency for fundamental changes in focus and strategy.

* Ability to articulate how strategic change will drive the short- and long-term effectiveness of the organization and spires the organization to think creatively about ist future and raises the confidence of people to believe in growth.

* Track record of establishing strategies and tactics to foster product innovation.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

* A technical undergraduate degree plus an MBA from a top 30 school would be the ideal educational profile.

* Start-up experience a major plus.

* Military experience a plus
