Product Engineer (Arrays)

Manage the design, development, and manufacturing processes for the Array product line. This would cover existing and new products built in multiple facilities, including Hiram and India. This position requires a dynamic, detail-oriented individual who can work closely with both internal and external customers to optimize product designs and related processes to meet customer performance and cost targets. The position requires both strict adherence to product and process control to ensure consistent results, as well as an openness to identify and qualify new processes and equipment to improve the value proposition of Array products.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the business can consistently develop and deliver products that meet or exceed customer requirements for performance, cost and on time delivery while also ensuring the business meets acceptable levels of profitability. The incumbent must balance these various priorities for both existing products (constantly evaluating potential improvements and how these can be appropriately qualified and documented) and new products (both extensions of existing standard products and entirely new products and processes). The position requires knowledge of current technology as well as a curiosity and openness regarding emerging technologies.

* Design and develop products for the Array product line to meet customer requirements for performance and cost. Produce (either personally or by directing and coordinating activities by others) all required product and process documentation required to consistently build and test the products.

* Support manufacturing processes, including development of new methods and troubleshooting of existing methods. Must have significant knowledge of equipment and processes and ability to develop and implement improved methods and machines to provide improved and new products in cost effective ways.

* Coordinate with Array Lab in Hiram and production in Bangalore facility to ensure smooth transfer of new designs to volume production. Assist in prioritization of resources and orders to meet customer needs and address capacity challenges.

* Work closely with Applications and Technology team and customers to define and develop new products, including delivery of prototypes and qualification for volume production. Assist communication with customers and gain understanding of customer applications and needs to accurately translate requirements to the business.

* Support other Engineering department initiatives to improve responsiveness and ensure accuracy and consistency of output, including becoming familiar with other product lines and business engineering content.
