Job Description

General Description of Position:

Dedicated accounting resource for all new market launches and acquisitions. Development and maintenance of all Accounting & Finance process documentation and related best practices. Perform accounting tasks related to the new markets, acquisition/integration activities, and the department financials. Build a strong business partnership with the SI team so assist with all aspects of finance/accounting support, the generation of budgets and operational plans, and labor tracking. Preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports. Lead a discussion with Strategic Initiatives team members to review results, determine root causes of variances and develop a forecast for the current fiscal year.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Meet with Strategic Initiatives team members to discuss monthly results and variances in order to generate status updates and forecasts
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues, expenses, and Capex
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for all Accounting & Finance tasks related to new markets and acquisitions, as well as the Strategic Initiatives department costs
  • Partner with Capital Accounting and other Strategic Initiatives team members to develop the Operational Plan and act as a backup for monthly updates
  • Point of Contact for all Accounting & Finance dependencies as identified in the New Market checklist generated by the various Strategic Initiatives team's members
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong data handling skills and attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Requires discretion regarding sensitive Company information
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 4 years-experience with GAAP accounting
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking; ability to identify issues, errors, and root cause problems in financial results
  • Project cost and fixed asset experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel knowledge such as pivot tables, V Lookups and indexing strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable learning new systems; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
