This is an acquisition demonstration project position, NH-03 Tier 2, equivalent to the GS-12/GS-13, WITH A TYPICAL SALARY RANGE OF $73,375-113,428.

As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, NH-0343-03, you will exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the OGDEN ALC CX. You will plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the organization, ensuring operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

* Establish, revise, or review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff

* Plan workload to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust short/long-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work

* Participate in special operation projects and initiatives and perform special assignments

* Represent the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations

Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is primarily sedentary. May require some walking, standing, bending, carrying and/or lifting of light items such as paper or books; No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in a typical office setting, requiring the use of normal safety precautions necessary for an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. However, the incumbent may be required to move from one issue to the next, with many distractions, which may include but are not limited to noise in the production area.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this position that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically, we would find this experience in work within a field that is closely related. To be creditable, the specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02), pay band or equivalent. Specialized experience is described as: Analyzing and evaluating (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives; researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.

2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.

4. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.

5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
