This position is in the Domains Engineering org, which is the core to the company. We own the full customer experience after purchase of a domain till it either expires or gets transferred out. Features include managing a domain and DNS, 'activating' a domain, renewing a domain, attaching additional services on top of domain like privacy, protection etc.. all come under this umbrella. The entire experience of owning of domain with GoDaddy is managed by this team.

We're looking for passionate software engineers who has a keen understanding of web application development at scale to be part of a team building new capabilities from ground up. You will have an active role in developing and building software that drives the world's largest domain name registrar and web hosting provider. This role will be core to building up a new set of user facing features for a highly successful part of domains. It will have a direct and visible impact on the lives of millions of small business owners around the world. We embrace an Agile environment with a rapid development and release cycle.

Responsibilities

* Develop new user-facing features and APIs driving them

* Build reusable code and libraries for future use

* Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

* Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

* Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

* Contribute to the design and development of globally distributed web applications

* Contribute to the design and code for high availability web applications and APIs.

* Support existing applications and services in Prod

* Adopt agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our apps & services

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field required

* Experience developing front-end web applications in modern languages and frameworks (React, Angular or other JavaScript libraries)

* Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

* Solid understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

* Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.

* Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

* Understanding of RESTful APIs and RESTful web services

* 1 - 2 years of industry experience designing, building, and shipping software using high level languages (Java, C#, .Net, Scala etc..)
