Project Engineers/PMs - Civil & Electrical

Experis is partnering with our client, a leading supplier to the Aerospace industry, to identify two Project Engineers/Engineering PM's to join their team in Henderson, NV

Two Roles are available:
1. Civil Project Manager/Engineer with skills in repair, not new plant builds. Need Structural, Concrete, Foundation, Steel experience in repair of aging facilities.
2. Electrical Engineering Project Engineer/Manager with side skills in Controls/PLC. Will be heading up Electrical Capital Projects, example might be in New Crane installation. Would like Power distribution experience, Pumps, Motors, Blowers would be alternate equipment.

75% of what these roles will be responsible for are Capital Projects.

Managing capital expense and maintenance engineering projects; developing detailed drawings and specifications using information from various sources that may include site studies, engineering calculations, evaluation of reference drawings and vendor drawings, input from other disciplines and process owners; developing schedules and budgets for each capital project; conducting independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications, and requirements; managing contracted engineering and construction firms.
Identify, design, test, and implement equipment improvements to meet plant production, maintenance, quality, safety, cost improvement, and environmental goals. Provide technical support to the maintenance and operational departments, as well as to other mechanical engineers within the engineering department. Prepare detailed Capital Expenditure Proposals and Major Maintenance Proposals for significant plant modifications or repairs. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, using both in-house personnel and/or contracted services. Revise and maintain mechanical drawings using AutoCAD software. Prepare forms, documents, prints and reports for MOC (management of change) activities.
Position requires Five (5) years experience as an engineer, with specific industrial machine design experience.
Possess knowledge and experience of engineering principles and practices relating to equipment modification and construction projects including planning and development, design and construction, and operation and maintenance.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and manufacturing methods as well as broad knowledge of processes and components such as castings, moldings, motors and gearboxes.
Familiar with standard drafting, layout and dimensioning practices.
Be a hands-on individual with the ability to coordinate with other non-engineering groups such as production and maintenance personnel, suppliers, and machine shops.
Has initiative and is able to work effectively both within a team and with little direction and/or few guidelines.
Ability to work on multiple projects of increasing complexity.
Experienced in capital appropriation evaluation and analysis.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with the use of outlook, word, excel and project CAD is a plus.
Understand process control technology such as PLCs.
Plant engineering experience a must which includes experience with process equipment specifications, layout, design, budgets, scheduling and commissioning of system.
