Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Green Dental Lab in Heber Springs, AR for a Full-Time Dental Lab Technician Trainee. Previous experience is not necessary; we offer paid, hands-on training!

The regular hours for this position are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

Master Simplifying Posterior Anatomy information and terminology as it applies to Porcelain Framework Finishing.

Read and review all paperwork on each case for correct information on doctor name, finish date, case type, metal type, and case design.

Check cases using Nobel or Hi-Noble that Nobel and high noble alloys have been weighed before finishing.

Remove excess metal from sprues, flashing, etc.

Thin metal to proper thickness at margins, contacts and on occlusal surfaces

Remove any bubbles or other imperfections in metal using proper tools and techniques

Check fit of coping or framework on dies and models to be sure margins, contacts, and occlusions are correct.

Check for correct pontic and connector design on bridge cases

Finish attachments such as PD', ERA's, OSO's, etc. for crown and bridge cases to be combined with removable partial dentures

Final polish metal in readiness for opaque application

QC case and sign technician number to card.

Maintain work flow through department by finishing rush cases first and completing units as a department before lunch each day

Requisition needed supplies and instruments using proper form

Maintain a clean work area

  4. Ability to work closely with others and share equally in the workload
  5. Flexibility in dealing with varied work hours due to fluctuating workloads
  6. Ability to adapt to ProPay production system

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. OSHA/Bloodborne Pathogen/General Safety Training
  3. PTC Simplifying Posterior Anatomy/Vocabulary/Terminology
  4. PTC Anterior/Posterior Porcelain Contouring
  5. One month apprenticeship with senior technician
  6. On-the-job training
