PART-TIME FACULTY POSITION - DEAF STUDIES: Department of Deaf Studies, Division of Business and Professional Studies; MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position

Anticipated start date: September 2018 (Position contingent on available funding)


Teach one (1) or both of the following courses on the Haverhill Campus:

* Elementary ASL I, Monday/Wednesday, 2:00-3:40PM, 4 Credits

* Intermediate ASL I, Monday/Wednesday, 5:00-6:50PM, 4 Credits



* Master of Science in American Sign Language, Deaf Studies or a closely related discipline.

* Must demonstrate: a high level of enthusiasm, strong work ethic, flexibility, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to integrate appropriate technology into teaching strategies.

* Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population.


* Experience teaching at a Community College, with demonstrated sensitivity to academically disadvantaged students

* Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.

Additional Information:


* DCE step 1 level rate is $1,066.00 per credit hour.

* No fringe benefits.
