Practice Manager

Scarsdale Medical Group, LLP Harrison, NY

The Practice Manager will provide leadership, management and site supervision in conjunction with our Director of Clinical Services. Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place to drive quality clinical outcomes, patient, staff and physician satisfaction. Collaborates with Physicians and Administration to develop and implement the practice business plans, measures performance, and develops and implements improvements.


* Overall operational responsibility for designated location and clinical functions through clinical staffing.

* Supervises staff.

* Resolves any medical-administrative problems in collaboration with physicians and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthful practice atmosphere.

* Responsible for implementing the practice's mission and strategic vision in a collaborative leadership style.

* Facilitates collaborative problem solving and communication with the physicians regarding practice performance and physician productivity.

* Recommends, develops, implements improvements for the practice.

* Recommend Implement and enforce clinical protocol and procedures, adherence to clinic operating policies and procedures in collaboration with the administration.

* Support efforts for recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of employees in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services.

* Enhances operational effectiveness and revenue optimization emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation or quality of care.

* Maintains compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

* Ensures maintenance of the exam rooms and routine maintenance of equipment.

* Ensures compliance with and knowledge of the company's Code of Conduct by all subordinates to ensure ethical work environment.

* Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.

* Complies with departmental organizational policies and procedures and adheres to external agency requirements.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience


* Bachelor's degree required in healthcare; RN preferred.

* 2 plus years managing a medical practice with exceptional leadership and organizational/business management skills required.

* Strong human resources and supervisory experience with 20+ employees.

* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written English proficiency required

* Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

* Demonstrated success in program implementation, operations, and fiscal management.

* Excellent knowledge of information technology and its application to the health care environment. Electronic medical records experience is strongly preferred.

* Experience in EPIC is a plus.
