Position Summary

Window Nation is searching for a Sales Manager to work closely with our valued customers. This position is responsible for leading the sales team to profitable custom sales in furtherance of the company's goals. The successful individual will have a thorough understanding of the market s/he serves, as well as a strong sales aptitude, be able to innovate, and provide strategic feedback on direction to meet customer and sales team expectations. As a leader of our regional office, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this position also interfaces, collaborates and works cooperatively with (and as a member of) the management team and other department personnel.

This position will be accountable for executing a sales plan that aligns with the corporate growth objectives and capabilities. You will drive sales in your geographic region. You will be responsible for building and managing a sales team towards the attainment of profitable results. You will act as a customer service liaison and office leader within the organization. You will actively manage and report on all outstanding jobs, status of the market, and forecast revenue. You will manage your team toward a consultative sales methodology to generate revenue in the marketplace.

Primary Job Functions

* Conduct a formal evaluation of each sales representative to determine individual strengths and weaknesses and create a formal written development plan for each member of your team by closely with the Sales Manager, and utilizing various assessment tools (skills, knowledge, personality, values, etc.), past performance data, input from your sales representatives and direct observation

* Establish and follow set periodic monthly reviews of performance metrics and goal progress with your sales team members

* Develop and implement a formal ongoing sales and product training program

* Conduct one-on-one assessments, reviews, and training meetings every two weeks

* Conduct a minimum of two field assessments of a rep each week

* Conduct regular sales team meetings

* Maintain a positive management style which recognizes and rewards exemplary performance

* Ensure that you are utilizing, training and adhering to our established hiring process and tools

* Work closely with our recruiters; establish hiring goals and closely monitor and manage the results

* Develop and execute a sales team development and retention program, which includes reaching out to existing staff in defined intervals to assess their job satisfaction, and making existing staff aware of new opportunities

* Always be recruiting and looking for new sales talent

* Develop and apply a deep competence in our CRM software to assign new appointments and ensure each sales person is receiving the level/quality of appointments needed to achieve sales KPIs

* Proactively track, monitor and manage towards the achievement of the increased sales, profitability goals, and objectives of the company

* Develop, monitor, and proactively manage sales activity metrics for each of your sales reps and use them to demonstrate sales productivity improvements achieved through effective sales management

* Conduct bi-monthly one-on-one meeting with your sales people to ensure they are focused on their critical outcomes and that you are providing the necessary support to help them achieve their goals and objectives

* Ensure availability at all times to answer phone calls from sales reps in the field and provide direct sales support

* Ensure all verbal and written communication between members of the sales team and external parties is accurate and consistent with policies, upholds the marketing messaging and reflects exceptional professionalism

* Ensure all sales team members are fully trained and utilize Salesforce, ProVia and DealMaker Apps effectively and efficiently

* Manage job processing with customers, sales reps, admin, ordering, and vendors to ensure operations KPIs are achieved. Manage and ensure accuracy of OBR reports for the branch

* Submit required daily, weekly, and monthly reports to Regional Sales Manager and/or VP of Sales

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* 3-5 years of experience formally hiring, managing, and assessing both inside and outside sales teams

* Experience with developing individual sales improvement plans

* Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing, training sales people to achieve a greater team outcome

* Experience and expertise with Salesforce or similar CRM, and tracking data

* 3+ years of documented successful sales experience in direct B2C sales

* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sales training programs
