Apogee Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Program Execution Group (PEG) Coordinator to be located at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. This position supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate. The ideal candidate should have defense acquisition management expertise and experience supporting a Program Executive Officer (PEO).

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing expertise in acquisition and program management (in accordance with DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101) and strategic and tactical program planning (short-term, mid-term, and long-term plans) to further system mission capabilities
  • Providing expertise in qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs
  • Planning, researching, analyzing and assessing system acquisition in terms of development, production, and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment in order to formulate plans and make strategy recommendations to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives
  • Providing expertise and management oversight to multi-MAJCOM stakeholders in order to determine specific requirements needs
  • Planning, scheduling and facilitating a variety of exchanges and meetings with the directorate, program office team, and stakeholders to understand and coordinate program requirements, strategies, plans, and activities to address warfighter capability gaps
  • Acting as the liaison between Program Offices and the Program Executive Officer (PEO)/PEO staff to coordinate and integrate support service activities across the Directorate and external stakeholders in support of the Directorates AFNWC NC3 WS Integration responsibilities
  • Supporting the management of programs, systems, subsystems, and equipment across the full acquisition life cycle
  • Supporting, identifying and implementing PEO portfolio management controls and AF NC3 WS integration management controls
  • Assisting in determining program progress; effectively communicate recommendations orally and/or in writing to higher organizational management
  • Performing analyses to support program strategy decisions and courses of action
  • Supporting Commander/Director Action Group and/or PEG processes including but not limited to: PEO Activity Report, Staff Meeting, X-Plan tracking, Program Management Reviews, Monthly Acquisition Report (MAR), Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR) and Senior Officer Communication and Coordination Electronic Resource (SOCCER)

What you will need to have:

  • Possess expertise in the Operation of the Defense Acquisition System, including Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III PM Certification (preferred)
  • Possess strong understanding and experience with DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101 and AFNWC organizational processes and procedures
  • Possess one of the following education/experience mixes:
    • Master’s Degree plus 10 years of relevant PEG coordination and/or acquisition management experience (preferred)
    • Bachelor’s Degree plus 18 years of relevant PEG coordination and/or acquisition management experience
    • 22 years of relevant PEG coordination and/or acquisition management experience

  • Possess a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility

  • Ability to perform all functional duties independently
