Situational Response Team (SRT) Northern Region provides support, coverage, preventative and crisis-related interventions to agency programs. The team is comprised of experienced staff who are temporarily assigned and have the ability to be dispatched to any residential community program in need. Seeking a SRT Behavioral Assistant to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to substitute or supplement childcare staff in the residential and in-community programs throughout the Northern Region.

SRT Behavioral Assistants will be expected to provide positive support, caring assistance and responsible supervision. This position is expected to require a unique sensitivity on the part of the applicants to recognize and appropriately respond to clients who may have evidenced difficulties. Candidate will assist the supervisor with all aspects of coordination and delivery of instruction to assigned clients; and intervene when crisis arises throughout the instructional period by appropriately applying learned, approved physical control (PC) tactics/behavioral strategies until the situation is under control. In addition, will provide services involving application of positive behavioral principles within the community by way of culturally based norms to foster adaptive outcomes

Seeking a SRT Behavioral Assistant to work in the Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Middlesex, Somerset, Morris, Monmouth and Somerset counties of NJ. Traveling is required.

Full-Time - Must be flexible to work various shifts and days. Candidate must be available for all Shifts.

Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM; 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; 11:00 PM - 7:00 AMRequirementsMust be at least 21 years or older with a valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation for traveling.

High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Two (2) to three (3) years of verifiable experience working with behaviorally challenged youth, be proficient in escalating a crisis situation required.

DDD relevant experience and/or personal knowledge of developmental disabilities.

Preferred: Certificates in Pre-Service training, Danielle's Law, Positive Behavioral Supports, and ABA.

All new hires are required to attend a week orientation: Monday through Monday 8:45am-4:00pm, upon hire.
