What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum Intern, youll be essential to two teams your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. Youll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

  • Reviews and corrects alert and incident process instructions
  • Validates escalation paths by application
  • Assists in the development of interface agreements between other operation and event management centers
  • Validates and recommends changes to configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Facilitate on-boarding of new applications and services

Heres what it takes to get started

Required qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelors Degree or Advanced Degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

Intern will work in the process development department. Familiarity with monitoring and event management tools such as Netcool, Solarwinds, Cherwell, and Cisco Situation manager are helpful. Experience performing administration of SharePoint sites.
