POSITION SUMMARY

A porter is an entry level position that will be involved the general upkeep of the resort facility. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE A porter takes direction from the Facilities Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

* Keep all entrances free of paper, debris, & cigarette butts

* Keep Rotunda Cleaned, Floor/Front Doors

* Keep water level of fountain & any over spray under control, "Caution" signs if necessary

* Keep Billiard Room Organized, dusted

* Keep Grand Living Room organized, cleaned.

* Keep all four bathrooms cleaned, stocked. Any water on floor either clean up or post "Caution" signs until repaired

* Keep Pool area cleaned. No standing water, if so post "Caution" signs

* Keep card room cleaned, monitor lighting

* Keep ballroom cleaned, organized

* Keep fitness equipment wiped down, fitness room clean

* Keep elevator cleaned, including stainless steel doors

* Keep aerobics room & mirrors cleaned

* Keep Running track clean

* Keep upstairs balcony clean

* Keep Patio furniture, Umbrellas, & chairs organized and clean

* Replace any burnt out bulbs that are accessible

* Strong team-building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate, motivate, and contribute as part of a team with representatives from multiple disciplines.

* Must be willing to "roll-up" sleeves and dig in with staff to drive processes that support the business

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected

* Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness a must.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

* Able to demonstrate a growing knowledge of proper equipment operation, including clean up.

* Must be self-motivated.

* Able to interact positively with the public and teammates.
