Stonington Institute began serving recoveringalcoholics in 1957 as Starlight Farms, a working farm where adults inrecovery were introduced to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Our main campus is located in North Stonington, CT,in its original private and peaceful rural setting, offeringmedical detoxification as well as residential addictionstreatment for active duty and retired military servicemembers.

Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partialhospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. The clinic isconveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner,a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and womenwho attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offersovernight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoorrecreation options, a workout room, and computer center for allguests.

We accept private insurance, state-funded plans andself-pay arrangements.

Full-time position responsible for verification of insurancebenefits, calculating deductibles and co-payments. Posts dailyclient attendance and obtains documentation on after-hoursadmissions. Works with clients and theirfamilies to obtain payment or make payment arrangements forhousing.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalentrequired; Associates Degree preferred. Familiarity withhealth care service delivery systems, basic data entry skills, strongcustomer service skills, attention to detail, understanding of basicinsurance procedures. Familiarity with MedSeries 4, EMDEON, and/orpast Electronic Medical Billing desirable. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as areexcellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritizemultiple tasks, as well as the ability to interact compassionatelyand appropriately with clients and families.
