Position Overview

The Order Entry Clerk is responsible for order entry, auditing orders and contacting customers or sales to resolve order discrepancies. This position handles all facets of order service, maintains customer files and provides clerical and administrative support. The successful candidate must thoroughly understand order entry and have a good knowledge of the company's products. Work is performed under moderate supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Receives and enters orders

* Must be able to enter a high volume of orders while maintaining accuracy for areas in pricing, quantity, model #'s

* Provides research and problem solving to customers and sales

* Accurately maintains files

* Provides clerical or administrative support including filing, faxing, answering phones and record keeping as required

* Ability to enter RMA's as needed

* Maintains customer database by entering additions, cancellations and changes to customer orders as needed

* Accurately blocks orders from shipping and follows up until all issues are resolved

* Handles basic customer inquiries and complaints, resolving or escalating difficulties as required

Skills and Experience

* Two year college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* One or more years of business experience with significant exposure to Data Entry

* Ability to use a computer, telephone and other traditional office equipment

* Ability to accurately compare and verify information

* Must possess excellent communication skills and exchange information clearly with others
