Description:Quality Assurance Weapons Inspector for Iraq F-16 program:
This position is part of a team supporting F-16 aircraft maintenance at Balad AB, Iraq.
Candidate will evaluate process compliance, write/review corrective action/preventative action reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses, and plans.
Primary duty includes inspection of all F-16 weapons system maintenance, armament shop and munitions maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Requires experience in inspection of weapons load crew certification, explosive safety, aerospace ground equipment, hazardous waste management programs, tool & FOD industry standards, and general security procedures.
Candidate will be required to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits, prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.
- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date AND must maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
USAF 7 level or equivalent in Aircraft Armament Systems on any fighter aircraft.
Requires 5 years experience in the inspection of aircraft armament systems, load crew certification and explosive safety.
Requires 2 years experience maintaining the M61A1 gun system.
2 years Quality Assurance or IG Inspector experience.
Full understanding of USAF AFI 21-101, USAF Technical Orders.
Experience in USAF Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP) processes and knowledge of operating associated data base.
Experience with ILIAS (Integrated Logistics Information & Automation System).
Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, COR/QAR and maintainers regarding quality issues, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
