Field Sales Engineer/Technologist - Mechanical

The ABB / Dodge Field Sales Engineer is responsible for growing the Baldor-Dodge business, maintaining important relationships with our channel partners, and providing critical feedback to Sales and Product Management on all issues that affect the ability to grow Baldor-Dodge market share. The position will be responsible for the Pittsburgh,PA region .

Tasks:

Dodge product application knowledge.

The ability to recommend suitable products to customers and to differentiate products from those of the competition.

Capable of appraising commercial business situations, both internal and external, and determining course of action

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of engineering or mechanical experience

OR

Associate's Degree and 2 years of engineering or mechanical experience

OR

Bachelor's Degree

* A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.

* A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

5+ years' experience in Dodge product application

Trained to sell mechanical power transmission products in industrial applications

Effective communication skills with the ability to listen, understand, educate, and influence customers/potential customers regarding products.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
