What you'll do on a typical day:

* Lead the development, maintenance, and improvements to the IT Service Continuity procedures and tools that are used to protect critical business processes from the potential damage or loss that may be caused to the organization as a result of a disruption to the service

* Manage the development and maintenance of supporting infrastructure and application IT Service Continuity recovery plans and risk mitigation strategies for assigned XPO customers; manage change efforts that may impact XPO's ability to maintain IT Service Continuity

* Identify likely scenarios that may jeopardize system availability; develop emergency response plans, runbooks, and procedures to respond to these scenarios

* Communicate and train employees and service providers to ensure their readiness for potential issues; plan and coordinate disaster recovery tests including actual failover events, emergency situation simulations, tabletop exercises, and documentation reviews

* Monitor infrastructure capacity and initiate actions to resolve any shortfalls; review information systems to identify any capacity issues and specify any required changes

* Analyze service and component availability, reliability, and maintainability; ensure that services and components currently meet and continue to meet their agreed-upon performance targets and service levels

* Manage investigations of breaches of availability targets and service non-availability, and track and report on remedial action required

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

* 7 years of IT experience

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
