Job Description

Wisconsin Public Service, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is currently recruiting for a Transformer Repairer II for our Green Bay, WI location.

Responsibilities:

* Facilitate safe and efficient operation of distribution transformers. This includes, but is not limited to properly receiving, storing, repairing, cleaning, and painting transformers as well as similar equipment.

* Perform other related and incidental duties as assigned.

Required to wear respirator and safety devices.

Duties involve exposure to hazards posing physical risks; normal substation and transmission hazards involve electrical and construction hazards.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Successful completion of an AC/DC course or ICS Lineman's course through an accredited educational institution or self -study program

* Mechanical, electrical, welding, and painting experience.

* Drivers License

* Certifications required for forklift truck operation

* Certification for overhead and jib crane operation

* Must be familiar with computers and word processing

Preferred Qualifications

* Fundamental knowledge of electricity and welding principles and practices.

* Be familiar with company and shop procedures, safety rules, and accounting practices.

* Mechanical and electrical aptitudes.

* Able to advance as opportunities arise and have capacity for responsibility and decisions.

* Be able to communicate effectively with fellow employees, supervisors, and general public.

* Operate electrical test equipment, shop equipment, and hand tools
