The Cardiology Navigator functions in the multidisciplinary team and serves as a patient advocate, liaison, advisor, educator to assist patient with navigating the continuum of care. Navigator is essential for linking services between cardiovascular and cardiology departments. All referrals to consulting providers will be directed to the Cardiology Navigator. Primary function is to support patients in their plan of care and ensure appropriate follow up for all cardiac needs. Receives direction from providers, and clinical managers/supervisors.


  • Graduate of nursing program, required.


  • Understanding of EKG, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac medications, and procedures, required.
  • Basic coronary class is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, required.


  • RN MT licensure, required.
  • Basic Life Support; ACLS, required.


  • Medical Terminology.
  • Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures. Key Boarding Skills.
  • Basic Office Skills.
