Research Technician – Tumor Microenvironment and Metastasis

Dr. Xiaohong Li, Ph.D. is seeking to hire a part-time Research Technician to work on general lab managing, including, but not limited on mouse lines maintaining such as genotyping, recording and ordering, making sure general lab activities following institutional regulations, commutations between lab and other departments, and assisting new comers in the lab.

The Li Laboratory is committed to understanding tumor dormancy and cancer bone metastases, specifically breast, lung, and prostate cancers. Our long-term goal is to create a growth-inhibitory bone microenvironment so that cancer cells can be kept dormant or be killed while they are still dormant.

The work schedule for this position is 20 hours per week. Flexible on based on needs. It could be 2-3 days per week, 8-10 hours per day.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

* Prepare biological and chemical reagents and solutions

* Conduct and record all laboratory activities in accordance with the laboratory quality management program

* Maintain mouse lines

* Place laboratory general ordering

* Pass on information and help new comers familiar with the lab, assist them to start their project

You will possess a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, focusing on biochemistry, molecular and cell biology and have 5 years of hands on bench experience. We are ideally looking for people with the following:
