What you will be doing:

You will lead a team of approximately 15 salaried individuals and participate in cross-functional problem-solving to provide operational efficiencies and bottom-line impact.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about people development, team building and relationship building who can also perform within the Planning and Scheduling function.

Your Future Team:

You will be joining a team of three other Materials Supervisors who manage 130 employees among them, providing a high-level of customer service to support manufacturing through analytics and relationships.

Supervises professional level employees in the planning, scheduling and purchasing materials to optimize efficiency and reliability to meet objectives established by management. Supervises the integration of company system tools with lean manufacturing techniques to leverage positive business results within plant, supplier or subsidiary. Supervises, coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between department. Supervises execution of the planning and scheduling systems within a plant, interplant and subsidiary. Supervises execution of the planning and scheduling systems within a plant or value stream to include interplant and/or subsidiary requirements. Ensures the processing of change orders and appropriate communications with departments and vendors regarding material and quantity requirement revisions, rate adjustments and incorrect materials. Follows-up on orders to expedite deliveries as needed. Ensures the verification of invoices against original orders to ascertain compliance with all conditions of purchase prior to payment, and the maintenance of purchase order files, invoices and related purchasing records.

* Requires a general knowledge of manufacturing and operations areas, both order management and order fulfill processes, from order entry through distribution, and all current and legacy scheduling and capacity management software tools.

* Able to encourage and facilitate employee group / individual problem solving.

Required Experience

* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

* Minimum 3-5 years leadership experience.

* Requires experience with and in-depth knowledge of materials management processes and procedures.
