Forest View Hospital, in Grand Rapids, MI is a 108-bed facility, and brings over 40 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for Medical Billing and Patient Accounts Representative.

Medical Billing and Patient Accounts Representatives work with insurance verification of eligibility and benefit information, financial counseling, and assisting patients with Medicaid applications. Responsible for the preparation and submission of all Medicare and Blue Cross billings, status and follow-up of those claims, and payment and adjustment postings. Complies with hospital policy on attendance and maintains a professional attitude.

Job Requirements

Medical Billing and Patient Accounts Representative Job Requirements:

1. Associates Degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 1 year experience in medical biller required.

3. Accurate typing skills.

4. Effective oral written communication skills and telephone etiquette.

5. A working knowledge of insurance terms and reimbursement procedures.

6. Attention to detail and ability to follow established standards and procedures.
