LEAD QC ANALYST in Grafton, WI

AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The Lead QC Analyst is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by training and planning resources, performing investigations, establishing effective actions and maintaining QC Laboratory inventory and upkeep. This position ensures on time completion of testing and product quality prior to release, and keeps the QC Laboratory Manager informed of progress and activities.

In this role, you will:

* Perform and review analysis of materials necessary for production under GMP

* Communicate changes to procedures and other pertinent information to all shifts and provide a summary of daily activities and progress to the QC Laboratory Manager

* Assist QC Manager with maintenance of inventory, retain samples, reference standards and metrics

* Enforce all safety procedures and guidelines in accordance with company SOPs and OSHA standards

* Train, coach and mentor analysts in new procedures and policies as well as provide input for their yearly Performance Reviews

* Act as an extension of QA in auditing functions and support the QC Manager in all internal and external audits concerning the QC laboratory

Job Requirements

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

Required

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Strong technical expertise and familiarity with analytical equipment

* Two to 3 years' experience independently running test methods, checking data and training new analysts

* Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of challenging problems

* Knowledge of USP, EP, GXP, FDA, and ICH guidelines, and other requirements applicable to analytical activities.

* Ability to be medically cleared to use a respirator by a physician

Preferred

* Bachelor's degree with a major in Chemistry or related natural science field

* Previous supervisory experience
