Parts Department Supervisor reports to the Aircraft Maintenance Manager. His/ Her responsibility is to insure that the parts department is stocked with aircraft parts, supplies and tools required by the aircraft maintenance team. Coordinate with the Aircraft Maintenance Manager when problems pertaining to aircraft parts and need to be addressed. Enforce repair station policy and procedures in relation to the operation of the parts department. Ensure paperwork is forwarded to the accounting department as required. Alert the Aircraft Maintenance Manager when suspected un-approved parts or tools are found in, or may enter our system. Duties include but not limited to:

* Supervise, train and evaluate personnel assigned to Parts Department.

* Ensure parts department operates in an effective and efficient manner.

* Monitor and check accuracy of parts issued to aircraft work orders .

* Ensure inventory accuracy through the maintenance operating software system and inventory audits

* Provide status and inventory reports to management.

* Maintains tool crib functions through the parts team including all tool control and purchasing, tool issuing for work orders, and tool calibrations.

* Monitors and verifies all parts received have proper paperwork and documentation to trace to source of manufacturer.

* Order stock levels to match min/max numbers and make recommendations regarding inventory to support min/max as well as rate of consumption.

* Responsible for ordering all parts, components, accessories, etc. to maintain maximum aircraft availability.

* "Shop" among vendors on the Repair Station approved vendors list to ensure purchases are fiscally appropriate.

* Responsible for identifying all warranty program requirements and processing warranties as applicable through OEMs and vendors.

* Responsible for the processing of all core value components in a timely manner.

Your profile

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands of the Job:

* Job requires 0-50% writing, sitting, telephoning vendors and reviewing sales orders. Requires 51-100% standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, climbing, and walking in daily performance of job duties to assist parts personnel. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in job performance. Demands mental concentration and the ability to work in a team environment with fellow workers. Flexibility is required to allow for unexpected schedule changes.

Contacts within/outside organization:

* Daily communication with Aircraft Maintenance Manager, D.O.M., Aircraft Maintenance Personnel, and accounting department. Regular communications with vendors and factory representatives by email, telephone or in person. Interaction with customer representatives in support of third party maintenance when required.

Minimum Experience Required:

* Experience in inventory control, supervising, and leading of individuals.

* Experience with inventory software systems a plus.

Minimum Education Required:

* High school diploma required, 2 year or greater college degree preferred.

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Required:

* 3 years or more computer experience working with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

* Excellent written and oral communications skills.

* Experience with Corridor software system a plus.
